DQ Sportpferde NEWS
We are proud to announce our 2021 KWPN-NL stallion ROYAL GRAFFITI has been granted a Certified Breeding License from Oldenburg NA. He is the youngest and one of a very few, such as Qredit Hilltop, to ever achieve OLDNA licensing at the young age of 2.
ROYAL GRAFFITI is the 3rd ever unrelated foundation pinto line in KWPN-NL history outside of Ico (1967) and Samber (1976 / Tina D descendants). His pedigree stands out amongst these two greats and proves genetic quality.
ROYAL GRAFFITI is the only pinto non-Samber/Tina D or Ico KWPN-NL Totilas grandson and also the first Gaudi son to be licensed in the World.

“Royal Graffiti is a well balanced Modern stallion with an exceptional temperament and trainability. He will be an excellent choice for mare owners who are looking to shorten and strengthen the back, loin, and bring forward LS placement. He has an exceptionally active hind leg, with a lot of sit and carrying power. His trot and canter are surprisingly well balanced and uphill for such a young horse, with lots of swing, elasticity, and jump. His limbs are very correct, and he will be a great choice for mare owners looking to add some length of leg. Overall, this is such an exciting young stallion available to North American breeders!”

ROYAL GRAFFITI…
the story of royal graffiti
As for his pinto color and to where it came from, let us delve into the color background of ROYAL GRAFFITI:
As a precursor, I will let the Inspector Rasmussen and owner Janice Rende of the mare Fancy Ruler (ROYAL GRAFFITI’s great grand dam), presented in at Hilltop Farm in 1995 to the original German Oldenburger (Pre- GOV/OLDNA split) stand for any questions. Although Fancy Ruler was registered APHA, she was in fact by blood 7/8 TB and over the required 75% approved lines and therefore placed by Rasmussen himself into the Main Mare book.
She was presented along with her foal Dressen Fancy who was sired by the late Hanoverian stallion Duellglanz of High Point Hanoverians, and was named Site Champion that day. Rare video footage of the inspection can be found here: Fancy Ruler and Dressen Fancy by Duellglanz Site Champion at Hilltop Farm 1995. From the point I purchased ROYAL GRAFFITI’s granddam Dressen Fancy, she was registered full German Oldenburg, as was his dam Saintly Appointed that I bred and registered with OLDNA. (Photo of Dressen Fancy and Saintly Appointed as a foal.)
I’ve always been called a “crazy color breeder”. Everyone knows of my lifelong passion to breed for beautifully colored, upper level dressage prospects, however, it is sometimes difficult to share a horse, like many do with their solid colored horses, as some will always find controversy. Questions as to where the color came in, prejudice against color itself, or a myriad of reasons from those who simply dislike them, may bring drama from those who like such banter. No matter, understand this: I am VERY proud to have bred this special boy.
I was a mere twelve years of age, and understandably, not in attendance at the time of Fancy Ruler’s MMB approval. I own generations down from others doing, yet many times catch questioning over it. Some say it was the MMB approval of this great grandam into the German Oldenburger that caused part of the arguing and consequential split between GOV and OLDNA that for some see as a major controversy , but I was just a child at that time and had no knowledge or involvement of such things. When people come to me with questions or angst, all I can do is refer them back to those other responsible parties involved.
A team is already in place for ROYAL GRAFFITI, in which are all quite excited about now that he has received his certified breeding license with OLDNA. Our plans are to pursue full stallion approval, along with a performance career directed toward FEI dressage.
Time, development, training, and patience will decide his future greatness. We have put him in God’s hands as he truly is a blessing from God.
“royal grafFiti - 36+ years in the making”
Owner/Breeder— T. House
ROYAL GRAFFITI is my life’s work. He is a fourth generation of my breeding program. When you evaluate his pedigree, consider this:
1) I am the breeder his dam, “Saintly Appointed”
2) I bred his grand sire, the approved Oldenburg stallion “Saint Sandro”
3) I bred his Main Mare book Oldenburg approved Arabian great grand dam “SES Hailey
4) I purchased SES Hailey’s sire “Severn El Shaddai”(great great grandsire) as a 9mo old with my babysitting money at fifteen years old.
It has taken thirty six years of my life to produce this once in a lifetime horse. I have faith in our beautiful home bred stallion and pray that he may even be incredible enough to succeed the late, great pinto stallion Samber to go on to produce the best bred pinto dressage horses in the world. Will it happen? Who knows, but that is my dream for him.
I truly believe he is the best bred of these 3 lines ever introduced to the KWPN-NL. Outside of Samber/Tina D and Ico. ROYAL GRAFFITI also carries no other related Rinaldo, Camaro, or other pinto Warmblood/Trakehner lines.
